Dear Friends,
We now have the ‘Objection Form‘ ready to be printed and we plan to hand deliver two forms per household over the coming days. The consultation ends on 20th September so it is important that all completed forms are collected before then so that we can take them by hand to Harrogate Council Offices on your behalf.
Please note that every member of the household can raise an objection and that it is also not just limited to the household. Anyone, who has an interest in preventing this new settlement from happening can make an objection, even if they do not live in the district.
Because TWO forms might not be enough, I have attached to this email a copy of the ‘objection form’. You can then print off as many copies as you need. If you do not have a printer then you will be able to collect spare copies from the following places :- Green Hammerton and Great Ouseburn Post Office’s, Whixley Village shop or Landlaff Cottage (Kirk Hammerton) c/o Les and Janice.
To help you complete the form we have attached a guidance note on what needs to be done and where. We have also listed where the collection points are, including those in the surrounding villages.
The consultation documents under review and the form to complete are quite technical. So that we get as many objections as possible, we have tried to make this as easy as possible. With the advice of solicitors and planning advisers we have already listed in the forms what the principal points of objection are, but if you have any more to add then you can attach a separate sheet to the rear of the form.
Finally, it would be a tremendous help if completed forms could be returned to our collection points, in plenty of time before the deadline of 20th September (ideally no later than noon 18th September). It is our intention to be able to quote in the action groups detailed submission, how many residents have raised an objection in this consultation and to do this we will need to count how many forms there are a few days before the deadline.
If you have an queries then please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for your continued support
