PC 1571 Crime Advice – Out Building Thefts

Since the beginning of April 2014, we have seen an increase in shed and outbuilding burglaries in the villages around Boroughbridge. Great Ouseburn, Marton cum Grafton and Upper Dunsforth have been most affected. Its likely that the offender(s) are travelling across fields to get into rear gardens and then using an implement to force open locked doors. Please check that your out buildings are as secure as they can be. If you see any suspicious activity or vehicles, please contact the Police on 101. (or 999 if you believe a crime is in progress). Thank you!

Road Safety Survey

Julia Mulligan and Dave Jones, North Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable, have road safety as one of their top priorities.  More specifically, they are focusing on reducing the number of people who are killed or seriously injured on our roads, responding to community concerns, and promoting motorcycle safety. The general public have also made it clear that road safety is also one of their priorities.

Before they look to invest more in road safety, and to make sure the views of North Yorkshire residents are heard, we would like you to fill in the below survey.  It should only take a few minutes, and your views are very important.

All the responses will be analysed, and will help inform the Commissioner and Chief Constable before they take any decisions. Thank you.
