The Collavoce Collective, under the directorship of Catherine Field-Leather, is a choir of around 30 members who sing in four or six part harmony. The choir performs at fund-raising and other events, weddings, parties and also stage their own concerts. They have sung in a wide range of venues from Fountains Abbey to Castle Howard, from Ripon Cathedral to Holy Trinity in York and from Green Hammerton, Whixley and Marton-Cum-Grafton churches.
Their most recent concert was Carols by Candlelight in the wonderful Grade I Holy Trinity Church in Goodramgate, York and the choir is always enthusiastic about finding a new additional venue or event in which to perform. Performances booked at specific events such as weddings can be tailored from small groups to full choir.
They can sometimes be found singing in conjunction with other musical groups such as Eurythmia Ensemble and Harrogate Theatre Choir, both under the directorship of Catherine Field-Leather and based in Harrogate. Combined with their different repertoire and sometimes singing as a combined choir, the performances are very eclectic.
The choir, made up of enthusiastic members of all ages, embraces many musical genres from Bach to Rutter, Sinatra to Sondheim. Classical to musical theatre, it’s probably in their repertoire!
